Obituary of Stephen Malames
Stephen W. Malames, a resident of Burlington for 31 years, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Saturday morning, February 23, 2008. The beloved husband of Eileen M. (Allen) he was 61 years old.
Steve was born, raised and educated in Brighton. He was the son of the late Nicholas & Lucille Malames. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country in the United States Navy and he was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. He attended Wentworth Institute of Technology. Steve then went on to have a successful career as a Tradesman in the Electrical Department at MIT Lincoln Labs. Steve had a passion for golf. He enjoyed visiting Old Orchard Beach in Maine. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Burlington and enjoyed the many friendships he had with his fellow Knights. He was blessed to have been able to see the birth of his first grandson Nicholas. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Steve is the beloved husband of Eileen M. (Allen). He is the loving father of Peter Quinn & his wife Deana and Timothy Quinn & his wife Veronika both of Burlington. He is the brother of Janice Mathews of Derry, NH, Diane Murphy of Bellingham and Frances St. George-Gorman of Holliston. He is the grandfather of Nicholas Quinn. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, BURLINGTON.
