Obituary of George Zsovak
George Zsovak, an expert woodworker and cabinetmaker, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Sunday, February 24, 2008. The husband of Elizabeth (Toth) he was 81 years old.
Mr. Zsovak was born, raised and educated in Hungary. He was one of seven children born to the late the late George and Maria Zsovak. Mr. Zsovak immigrated to the United States in 1957 and eventually settled in Burlington with his family in 1962. He was a talented craftsman and loved to work with wood. He had a successful career was a Master Cabinet Maker working for GTE in Waltham for 25 years. He built much of the interior of his home in Burlington. He handcrafted his kitchen cabinets, bedroom furniture, tables, and bookcases with exquisite detail. His works have become family heirlooms.
Mr. Zsovak was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Toth) Zsovak. He was the loving father of George F. Zsovak of Burlington and Judy Zsovak of Burlington. He was the grandfather of Kevin Zsovak, Amy Zsovak, and Casey Hutchinson. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington on Friday, March 28 at 9 a.m. For directions see www.saintmargaretschurch.net.
