Obituary of Jean Malvone

Jean (Luongo-Pazzanese) Malvone a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away after a brief illness at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on Sunday night, March 30, 2008. She was 84 years old. Jean was born in East Boston, the daughter of Italian immigrants, the late Michael and Josephine Luongo. She grew up and was educated in East Boston. She was predeceased by 2 husbands, both of who were Police Officers. Jean split her retirement years between Onset, Florida, and in Burlington with her children and their families. She loved Onset sitting on the beach, swimming, digging for clams, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed to travel and some of her favorite destinations included; Italy, Spain, Hawaii, Aruba, and Florida. She cherished the time spent with her daughters and her grandchildren. She shared her Italian heritage and traditions with her family. She will be lovingly remembered. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Angelo J. Malvone and Joseph Pazzanese. Loving mother of Janis & her husband William Gordon of Burlington and Jean & her husband Al Hodgin of Burlington. Sister of Concetta “Connie” Ricci of Revere, Gerard Luongo of Revere, the late Pasquale “Pat” Luongo, Catherine Abbatessa, Antoinetta “Anty” Natola, Vera Pagliuca, Helen “Lil” Scarpa, and Frances Terrizzi. Devoted grandmother of Jeffrey, Michael, & Jaime Hodgin and Matthew, Andrew, Joseph, & William Gordon. Great grandmother of Ryan Hodgin. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, April 4 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St. at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
