Obituary of John Lisio

John L. “Butch” Lisio, Jr., a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on Monday morning, April 17, 2006. He was 62 years old. Butch was born, raised in educated in Arlington. He was the son of Mary (D’Errico) Christiansen of Woburn and the late John L. Lisio. Butch retired from Martell Motors Express in Billerica where he was employed as a truck driver. He also worked for over 10 years for the First National Store Chain. Butch had a passion for motorcycles. He was the proud owner of a Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of the Rum Pot Rustler Motorcycle Club in Cambridge. He also enjoyed camping. Butch was an avid Boston sports fan most especially the Bruins and the Red Sox. He was an outgoing person with a great personality who will be greatly missed by his family and large group of friends. He is the loving father of Lisa of Brunswick, ME, Daniel & his wife Michelle of Methuen, Robyn & her husband John Alessandro of Methuen, and John P. of Medford. He is the son of Mary Christiansen of Woburn and the late John L. Lisio. He is the brother of Joseph & his wife Sue of Townsend, Louise & her husband David Price of Woburn, David & his wife Sherry Christiansen of PA. He is he grandfather of Nicholas & Tyler Alessandro, Jessica, Bryan, Dylan, Matthew, and Caleb Lisio. Great grandfather of Caden Lisio. He is the former husband of Carol Sackos of Lawrence. Graveside services will be held at Saint Michael’s Cemetery, 500 Canterbury St., Roslindale on Friday, April 21 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Memorials in Butch’s name may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, Attn: Development Office, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
