Obituary of Francis Tansino
Francis “Buster” J. Tansino, a retired New England Sales Representative passed away after a brief illness at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Thursday morning, April 24, 2008. He was 87 years old.
Francis was born in Boston, the son of the late Joseph and Mildred Tansino. He grew up and was educated in Somerville. He honorably served his country as a US Marine during WW II. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal. Francis worked for 45 years for AMSCO Packaging Company located in New York. He was a New England Sales and Service Representative and traveled extensively in order to better serve his customers.
Francis had resided in Burlington since 1962. He took great pride in maintaining his home, yard, and his automobiles. He enjoyed traveling. He enjoyed the simple pleasure of being in his home with his wife and his sons. In June of this year, he would have celebrated his 6oth wedding anniversary. He was very proud of his sons and their families.
Francis was the beloved husband of Angela P. (Cuozzo) Tansino of Burlington. He was the proud father of Dr. Gary Tansino & his wife Deborah of Wallingford, CT and Gregg Tansino & his wife Lisa of Billerica. He was the brother of the late Augusta Sullivan, Joseph and Robert Tansino. He was the loving grandfather of Joseph, Danielle & Cristina Tansino of Wallingford, CT, and Marissa & Nicholas Tansino of Billerica. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, April 26 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 12 Noon. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers memorials in Francis’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
