Obituary of Thomas O'Toole

Thomas M. O’Toole, a Banker for 30 years, passed away at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading, after a long illness on Sunday afternoon, May 4, 2008. He was 67 years old. Thomas was born in Dorchester, the son of Irish immigrants, the late Michael and Julia O’Toole. He grew up and was educated in Dorchester. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had worked in the banking industry specializing in International Trading for 30 years. Because of bank mergers, he had worked for numerous banking institutions including; the Federal Reserve Bank, Shawmut Bank, Quincy Trust, Fleet Bank, & Bank of Boston. Thomas was a member of the American Legion Post 101 in Woburn. He enjoyed bowling. He was an avid Bingo player and had numerous friends at various Bingo Halls. He enjoyed visiting the Foxwood Resort in Connecticut. He enjoyed traveling and some of his favorite destinations were; Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Spain, and Brazil. He had a wonderful and supportive relationship with his son, Christopher. Thomas was the father of Christopher Worsh of Woburn. Brother of the late William, Joe, Mary, and Al O’Toole. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, on Thursday, May 8 at 10 a.m. Followed by an interment Thomas’s cremains at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams St., Dorchester at Noon. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Thomas’s name may be made to VNA of Middlesex East-Visiting Nurse Hospice, 607 North Ave, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
