Obituary of Carol Johnson

Carol M. (Thompson) Johnson, a resident of Burlington for 46 years, passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2008. She was 74 years old. Carol was born in Newton. She was the daughter of the late Betrand H. and Christina M. Thompson. She was raised and educated in Hanover. Carol and her late husband Robert moved to Burlington in 1962 where she devoted her life to creating a loving and caring home for her husband and four children. Carol was an avid bowler and belonged to several bowling leagues over the years. She also loved to go golfing. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was quite talented. Carol enjoyed traveling and had visited such places as the Caribbean Islands, Costa Rica, Florida, and the West Coast to name a few. Carol had an outgoing personality and enjoyed many friendships. Her family was very important to her and she was blessed to have many special times spent with her children and their families. Carol is the beloved wife of the late Robert J. She is the loving mother of Guy Johnson & his wife Susan White of Gloucester, Neil Johnson & his wife Terry Schwulst of Littleton, Eric Johnson of Breckenridge, CO, Susan Giles & her husband John of Windham, NH. She is the sister of the late Richard and Robert Thompson. She is the grandmother of Ben, Emma, and Lila Johnson, Jay & Mason Giles. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, July 24 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services and interment will be private.
