Obituary of Joseph Renzella
Joseph A. Renzella, late owner of Cambridge Rug Company passed away after a long illness on Saturday morning, June 16, 2012. He was 93 years old.
Joseph was born in Everett, the son of Italian immigrants, the late Bartholomew and Elizabeth Renzella. He grew up and was educated in Malden. He married his wife Lillian in 1943 and they settled in Burlington in 1957 to raise their family. In 1964 he founded Cambridge Rug Company on Cambridge Street, Cambridge. In the beginning, he was the salesman, installer, and service technician. He worked 6 days a week. He took great pride in his achievements and servicing his many loyal customers. Over the years, all his family worked in the business to help make it a success. In 1980 he passed the torch to his son and he assisted him for another 15 years. Outside of work, Joseph’s life revolved around his home and family. Some say, the best gift you can give your children is to love their mother. Joseph’s and Lillian’s marriage was a wonderful example of how a couple who care for and support each other, create a home filled with mutual admiration, respect and love. They understood each other’s needs and created a warm and loving home for their children and grandchildren. Joseph couldn’t sit idle at home or at work. He enjoyed working around his home, yard, or in his garden. He leaves his family with strong family values and lasting memories.
