Obituary of Mary Caterina

Mary (Murphy) Caterina, a longtime resident of Medford, passed away a the Atria Longmeadow in Burlington on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. The wife of the late Thomas A. Caterina, she was 95 years old. Mary was born in Everett. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Murphy. After living for a period of time in Everett she moved to Nova Scotia where her parents were originally from. After completing her education Mary moved back to the United States. Mary and her husband settled in Medford. Both Mary and her late husband Thomas worked for many years at B. F. Goodrich in Watertown. Mary enjoyed reading, gardening and knitting. Mary is the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Caterina. She is the loving sister of the late Harry, Bernard, Leo and Blanche Murphy. She is the sister-in-law of Claire Murphy of Nova Scotia, Canada. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mary is lovingly remembered by the family of the late Alicia Power of Medford. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford on Wednesday August 6 at 9 a.m. Memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the VNA Hospice Care, 100 Sylvan Rd., Woburn, MA 01801.
