Obituary of Marie Venti

Marie A. Venti, a retired seamstress, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 27, 2012 at the Winchester Hospital. She was 75 years old. Marie was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Antonio “Toni” and Lilly Ciuffo. She grew up in the North End, filled with Italian customs and traditions. She worked as a seamstress until she started her family. She had made her home in Woburn for the past 11 years and had previously resided in Arlington for 37 years. After her children were in school she returned to work as a seamstress at Forecaster of Boston for over 25 years. Marie’s life revolved around her family. She was a devoted wife of 53 years of Virgil Venti. They shared many of the same interests and lovingly cared for each other and their family. Since being first diagnosed with cancer 25 years ago, Marie realized how precious life and her loved ones were to her and cherished all the time together. She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. They loved her cakes, her homemade meatballs, and the time spent around her dining room table. She loved to sew and crotchet at home as well. Her family’s wardrobe was filled with handmade outfits made hand sewn and with love. She enjoyed going to Bingo and an occasional trip to the casino. She enjoyed road trips with her husband and children. She leaves her family with many happy memories filled with love, concern, and kindness. Marie was the beloved wife of Virgilio “Virgil” “Vin” Venti of Woburn. She was the loving mother of Lois Fullerton & her husband Scott of New Ipswich, NH, Lillian Richard & her husband Jeff of Mendon and Terri Venti of Arlington. She was the sister of Vincent Ciuffo of Brockton and the late Etta LoPiccolo and Nicholas Ciuffo. She was also survived by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, July 2 at 8:45 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Camillus Church, 1185 Concord Turnpike, Arlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
