It’s 2024, I’m very sorry to hear that my mom’s best friend passed 18 years ago. Rita Duchaney passed away in 1996. My mom used to bring us to Burlington to visit with Josie and her children Doreen and Steven. It’s nice to hear that Josie enjoyed her grandchildren. My mom had three, Kevin and Michelle Hayes, and Jeanine Duchaney, but she was denied the pleasure of spending more time with my daughter Jeanine and passed away before Jimmy’s daughter Rene Duchaney was born. Josie and Rita always enjoyed these visits as they grew up in Belmont together and were in the same classes before graduating Belmont High in 1950. RIP Josie, I so much appreciate that my mom had a special friend in you.
