Obituary of Joan McLaughlin

Joan M. (Demagian) McLaughlin, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away unexpectedly at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Monday morning, November 17, 2008. The wife of the late Francis Leo “Buddy” McLaughlin, she was 61 years old. Joan was born, raised and educated in Whitinsville. She was one of six children born to the late James and Helen Demagian. After their marriage Joan and Buddy settled in Burlington where they raised their four children. She had worked for Market Basket and Hewlett Packard. For the past five years Joan had worked as a Housekeeper at Billerica Crossings, which she loved. She took pride in her job at Billerica Crossings. Joan was the ultimate housekeeper both at home and at work. Her family was the most important part of her life. Joan enjoyed traveling back to her home in Whitinsville to visit her many family members. She lived for her grandchildren who were very precious to her. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed. Joan is the beloved wife of the late Francis Leo “Buddy”. She is the loving mother of Francis L. McLaughlin, Jr. of Oxford, Amy Lindenberger & her husband Tim of Alabama, Henry “Billy” McLaughlin & his wife Renee of Nashua, NH, & Charles McLaughlin & his wife Charlotte of Wakefield. She is the sister of Shirley, John, & James Demagian, Rose Ford all of Whitinsville, Carol Bucchino of Milford. Joan is the devoted grandmother of Luke & Grace Lindenberger, Corina, Cathryna, & Shane McLaughlin and the late Anita McLaughlin. She is the sister-in-law of Rose Coneeny, Agnes Doran & Peggy Johnson. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, November 20 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
