Obituary of Joseph Tamulynas

Joseph C. Tamulynas, a resident of Burlington for 45 years, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Wednesday, December 3, 2008. The husband of the late Barbara A. (Souther), he was 78 years old. Joe was born at his family’s home in Cambridge. He was the son of the late William J. and Mary Tamulynas. Joe was raised and educated in Cambridge. After their marriage Joe and his wife Barbara lived in Arlington for five years before moving to Burlington. Joe was a member of the Teamsters Local 25. He worked as a Truck Driver for Penn Oil in Somerville and Glenmore Oil. He was an avid sports fan and followed all the Boston sports teams. Joe was very involved in his son and daughter’s activities while they were growing up. He was very proud of his five grandchildren and was very happy to be apart of their lives. Joe was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A (Souther). He was the loving father of Karen Grossi & her husband Domenic of Burlington and William Tamulynas & his wife Janice of Boxborough. He was the brother of the late Frances Selinas. He was the grandfather of Domenic Grossi, Jr. of Woburn, Barbara Grossi of Burlington, William J., II, Jordan & Jared Tamulynas of Boxborough. Cousin of Helen Zukas of Medford. A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, Dec. 5 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 11 a.m. Interment in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge
