Mike, Cooki & family - please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your son Mark. I know his loss will leave a void in the Welsch family that cannot be filled.
I knew Mark for only a brief period and spoke to him a few times when I was down at my late father's (Jack Connors) house, next door to you. He was a bright and ambitious young man with everything to look forward to in life.
My prayers are with you.

We are all so, so saddened by the sudden loss of Marky. He was such a wonderful young man -- always so polite and friendly and nice and funny and... I could go on and on. He truly was 'one of the good ones'. Marky was a dear friend to Drew and Katie loved him as well. It was a pleasure to have him over our house for the many get togethers; whether it be for a pool party, a sleepover, or just to hang around. I will always remember Marky's smile. He truly was one of a kind and he will be missed by many. Marky will live on forever in our hearts and in the memories that we all have. Please accept our sincere condolences...

In my heart you hold a place

For part of me went with you

With such a heavy heart I write this note. Your son, brother, friend is loved so much and by so many! Words will never be a comfort for what your family is going through, but knowing how he affected so many lives, in so many different ways, might leave room for a little peace. Mark will always be part of someones conversation, today, tomorrow, weeks and years to come. He is definitely that "special someone" that everyone wanted to get to know. He brought a smile to faces, tears to eyes when joking, and his thoughtfulness and respect for others will never be forgotten. For the brief time you had with him, before God called him "home", please know you raised a fantastic son! Which by all the love and support that is here in Burlington for you, I'm sure you know that! You will ALWAYS be in my thoughts and prayers not only during this very difficult time, but every day! xoxox

Cooki, Michael, Ashley and Michael, I don't know what to say to you or even know how to express our sadness for you in words. We met Mark in March through our daughter Kayla and he was a part of the gang that came to our house to eat, swim, play pool, jump on the trampoline, watch movies, amd make smores. The group often gathered at a circular table outside in the backyard and we would peer through the kitchen window making sure things were in check. The last boy/girl get together at our house was on Monday, August 22nd and Mark was here. With Skynard music playing in the background, the "regulars" lit a fire in the backyard, made smores with super huge marshmallows, and ate M&M's and Reeses Pieces. It was a normal night and all the kids were happy. We will miss him and he will never be forgotten!
Always remember the good times, the happy moments, the funny times and all the times he got into trouble. These are the memories that will make you smile and no one can take this away from you. Keep these close and they will live in your hearts forever just as Mark will. Lots of Love and Hugs!
