Obituary of Morton Robinson

Morton T. Robinson, a resident of Burlington since 1964, passed away unexpectedly at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Sunday, January 11, 2009, he was 80 years old. Morton was bon in Somerville. He was raised and educated in Melrose. He was the son of the late George and Eunice Robinson. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Technician repairing electronics. Music was an important part of his life. Morton enjoyed playing the keyboards, harmonica, piano and the accordion. His home was always filled with music. Morton’s backyard was his sanctuary. He enjoyed growing plants, flowers, and just sitting in the yard. He loved the challenge of a puzzle and also enjoyed reading books. Morton and his wife Vyrl would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February. Morton is the beloved husband of Vyrl M. (Atherton). He is the loving father of Wendell Robinson of Burlington, Wayne Robinson of North Reading, William Robinson of Woburn, and Wanda Robinson of NH. Grandfather of Michael, Taylor, Westley, and William Robinson. Brother of the late Mildred Cahoon. Brother-in-law of Emily Parsons of Somerville. Friend of Phu Van Luong of Billerica. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, January 14 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
