Obituary of Frank Battistello

Frank J. Battistello, a resident of Burlington, passed way unexpectedly on Monday, February 23, 2009. The husband of 65 years of Teresa M. (Buonpoane) he was 91 years old. Frank was born, raised and educated in Malden. He was the son of Italian immigrants the late Antonio &quote;Tony&quote; and Mary Battistello. Frank was a Veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Army. After leaving the army he lived in Malden, Somerville and Medford before settling in Burlington in 1954. From 1972 to 1994 Frank and his wife lived in Sarasota, Florida returning to Burlington in 1994. Frank was employed as a Custodian. He also worked as a Waiter at Monticello’s in Framingham. Frank enjoyed working around his home and his yard. Frank is the beloved husband of 65 years of Teresa M. (Buonopane). He is the loving father of Frank & his wife Elizabeth of Elkridge, Maryland and Beverly Dardeno of Burlington. He is the father-in-law of the late Nicholas Dardeno, III. He is the brother of Rose Battistello, Salvatore Battistello both of Malden, Dominic Battistello, and the late Mary Switzer. Grandfather of Sarah Rumann & her husband James, Anthony Battistello, Kathryn Battistello, Nicholas Dardeno, IV and Diane Marks & her husband Eric. Great grandfather of Jonathan & Jessica Marks. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4 – 7 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
