Obituary of Lorraine Zagzoug
Lorraine M. “Hilda” Zagzoug passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center surrounded by her family on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2009. She was 91 years old. Hilda was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Henry and Hildegarde Travis. She grew up and was educated in Allston. She had made her home in Allston, Lexington, and finally settled in Burlington in 1965. She was a homemaker, who took great pride in the care of all her family. She was blessed to have been a mother of 5, grandmother of 12, and great grandmother of 18. She leaves a legacy of family.
Hilda was the beloved wife of the late Assad Zagzoug. She was the loving mother of Arthur “Mickey” Zagzoug of Boynton Beach, FL, Judy Zagzoug of Burlington, Janis Conlon of Fitchburg, Jeanne Rice of Sudbury, and Anthony “Tony” of Westford. She was the sister of the late Henry Travis and Georgietta Gould-Jefferson. She was also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, March 9 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 3-6 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
