I met Tim when we were at Little Rock AFB and both in 2nd MAPS. I lived in MA before entering the AF so we had that in common. Tim would always crack me up with his humor. We had some good times partying with fellow airmen, both on and off base. So sorry to hear about him passing. My condolences to his family and friends.

I served with Mad Dog Garside in the eighties. I have been looking for him for quite a while.
Finding this just now upsets me greatly. I loved Tim like a brother. We were at Rhein Main AB together, I have recently found a few of our friends there, who will also be taken aback by this news.
To Tims family that I never got to know...there are some of us who will always remember how fun Tim was to be with..his sense of humor still infects me from time to time. I use some of the things he used to say still today.
Mad Dog...we love you, we have missed you around us and you will live in our hearts forever.
Your Brother from afar

I would like to tell a couple of short stories of my Brother from the Air Force.
One of ...two of the funniest things in my life came from Tim.
First, I was 18 year old kid and tim must have been all of 24 or 25 at the time I met him. We all lived in the same barracks and made friends quickly.
As everyone knows Tim could crack you up even when you didnt want to.
We spent a hard night drinking one night...in the early morning ..so early no one wants to speak to any one else yet...in the dark I meet Tim heading toward the same pop machine for dehydration relief...we both stood there wishing we didnt drink that much booze the night before...we both stood there and got a soda out of the machine...as tim is walking away he says...I wish it would have snowed last night...wiht curiosity..I honestly asked him WHY??!!
So he could track the Bear that shit in his mouth was the answer...and I laughed all the way back to my room...and I laughed last year and I laughed last week and just now.
Tim is the kind of person who will always stay in our hearts and minds.
One evening while Tim was Home on leave from Rhein MAin..his roommate Roy Cano and a few of us guys were down partying in Tim and Roys room...no idea when Tim was coming back..another week maybe two...
well we had quite a few and we were all telling Tim jokes and stories and we were actually rolling o the floor laughing about a few of them and we couldnt stop giggling like school girls (Big Tough Air Force guys)...well we just got ourselves under control...barely able to catch our breath and trying not to look at each other...
Tim walked in with his suit case and we all BURST into tears again...Tim watched us and started to laugh wondering why we exploded...next thing we all knew TIm was on the floor and couldnt stop along with us...and I am not sure we ever got to tell him why now.
I am in the process of telling some of our other friends from USAF about tims passing.
Feel free to email me and thank you Tims family for letting me get to know someone I will always consider my Brother.
