Obituary of Myrtilla Hiscock

Myrtilla C. Hiscock, passed away at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday evening, July 5, 2012. Myrtilla was born, raised and educated in Brazil. She was one of 7 children born to the late Jose and Izabel deOliveira. As an adventurous young woman Myrtilla came to the United States in 1963. She lived in Burlington for many years where she raised her three daughters. She then moved to Chelmsford. Myrtilla worked at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington for 14 years in the Billing Department. She also taught Portuguese at the Berlitz School of Languages. Myrtilla loved life and being with people. She enjoyed dancing, going to the movies, and working in her garden. She enjoyed spending time in Deerfield Florida during the winter months. She was blessed to have four grandchildren that were the center of her life. Myrtilla was the wife of the late Andrew. She was the loving mother of Tanya Elliott & her husband Kenneth of Billerica, Cynthia Saudarg & her husband Charles of Stone Mountain, GA, and Andrea Hiscock of Tewksbury. Grandmother of Renee & Christina Elliott and Michael & C.J. Saudarg. Loving companion of John F. Harrington of Chelmsford formerly of Westwood. Predeceased by 7 brothers & sisters who resided in Brazil. A Memorial Wake will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, July 11 from 5 – 8 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Services will be private.
