Obituary of Gloria Bunnell

Gloria Jean Bunnell passed away with her family at her bedside at the Mass achusetts General Hospital in Boston on Monday night, March 16, 2009. She was 68 years old. Gloria was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late James and Virginia Donlon. She had resided in Fitchburg and Shrewsbury, MA before settling in Lexington, MA 5 years ago. She had worked as a Financial Consultant for Quantech Services in Lexington since 2001. She had previously worked for 22 years for the Federal Government as a Contracting and Financial Consultant for the Air Force at Hanscom AFB in Lexington, MA. She had also done some contract work with several other firms over the years. She was well respected amongst her peers in her field. Gloria had a number of interests and activities that she enjoyed sharing with family and friends. She loved to Ballroom Dance and had a great deal of friends who shared her passion for dancing. She spent Sundays bowling with friends. She played the mandolin. She loved to travel to warm and exotic destinations. Some of her favorite destinations were; Nassau, Cozumel, Cancun, and Honduras. She also enjoyed vacationing in California and Florida. She was always up for a day trip with friends to the Twin River Casino in Rhode Island. She will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and coworkers. Gloria was the mother of Patricia Bunnell of Hudson, NH and Richard Bunnell of Oklahoma City, OK. She was the grandmother of Richard Jordan Bunnell of Houston, TX. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, March 20 at 9:15 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Rd, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment in Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
