Obituary of John Solazzo

John M. Solazzo, a resident of Burlington for over 40 years, passed away at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody on Saturday morning, May 27, 2006. He was 86 years old. Mr. Solazzo was born, raised and educated in Lowell. He was the son of Italian immigrants the late Angelo and Mary Solazzo. Mr. Solazzo was a Veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Navy from 1943 – 1945. He was employed for over 22 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Jeremiah Sullivan Construction Company. He worked on such projects as the Bank of Boston, the underground garage at the Boston Common, and Harvard University. After retiring form the company he went on to work for Hewlett Packard for 10 years. He was a member of the VFW and Local 4. Mr. Solazzo is the beloved husband of the late Marguerite F. (Verricken). Loving father of John Solazzo & his wife Kathleen of Beverly and Robert Solazzo & his wife Judith of Newburyport. Grandfather of Matthew Solazzo, Kate Marie Solazzo, Daniel Sullivan and Elizabeth Sullivan. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, May 31 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church, Burlington at 10 a.m.. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. Memorials in John’s name may be made
