Obituary of Patricia Field
Patricia A. Field, a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon, March 25, 2009. She was 55 years old.
Patty was born in Woburn. She was raised and educated in Burlington. She was one of four daughters born to the late Robert and Ann Field. She was a 1971 graduate of Burlington High School. Patty went on to further her education graduating for Curry College with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked as a Client Processing Specialist at FM Global in Norwood for many years.
Patty had a passion for music. She was member of the Liberty Belle Chorus of Sweet Adeline in Arlington which she joined in 1978. The Chorus consists of a group of woman who have in common their love of music, joy in singing and performing. Patty was the Lead Choreographer of the group and sang Bass. Patty was involved in the Girl Scout organization in Burlington. After her mom Ann passed away she took over the role of Cookie Chairperson which she held for many years. Patty’s family was an important part of her life. She cherished the time she spent with her three sisters and their families. She was a loving and proud aunt to her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Patty was a talented, gifted, and loving woman who will be missed by her family and many friends.
Patty is the beloved daughter of the late Robert E. and Ann P. Field. She is the loving sister of Margaret C. Pessa & her husband Edmund of West Yarmouth, Ellen L. Palmer & her husband Richard of Burlington and Pamela M. D’Errico of Windham, NH. Patty is also survived by 7 nieces, 3 nephews, 9 great nieces, and 6 great nephews. She is the close cousin of Frank Sarno of Billerica.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St. BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be private.
