Obituary of Robert Scott

Robert W. Scott passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on Tuesday morning, July 10, 2012. He was 44 years old. Born in Boston and raised in Burlington, Bob graduated from Burlington High School in 1985. Bob loved history, knowledge and literature. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Kate, cruising to Bermuda, and also visiting museums, historic land marks, and other points of interest. Bob was an avid golfer and a huge Red Sox fan. Bob was know for his easy going nature and quick wit. He took pride in the home he and Kate shared and enjoyed spending time in what he called &quote;Their cute little back yard&quote;. He worked at Verizon and Pitney Bowes and had most recently graduated with a degree in Paralegal studies from Middlesex Community College. Bob was the son of the late Robert and Marjorie &quote;Peg&quote; Scott. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen &quote;Kate&quote; (O'Connor), his brother James and his wife Antonine of North Carolina, his sister Vicky and her husband Rich of Georgia, his mother in law and farther in law Gene and Pat O'Connor of Haverhill, his sister in law Susan and her husband Larry Dysart of Haverhill, his sister in law Linda and her husband Bob Haefner of Haverhill as well as seven nieces and nephews. A Memorial Wake will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, July 14 from Noon to 2 p.m. and will conclude with a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Robert’s name may be made to the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
