Obituary of Ann Donahue

Ann Theresa Donahue, 88, of Camarillo, California died March 4, 2009 after a long illness. She was born in Somerville on July 6, 1920, daughter of the late Michael and Julia Connors of Burlington, and was married to the late Joseph F. Donahue. They had two children, Ann Thombs of Camarillo, California and the late Joseph Michael Donahue. A 29-year resident of Camarillo, Mrs. Donahue was the benefactor of the Donahue Healing Garden at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo, a place of rest and meditation for the patients, families and staff. Surviving, in addition to her daughter, are her siblings Gerald Connors of Woburn, Michael Connors, Patricia Litchfield and Mary Langone of Burlington; her grandsons Bryan Thombs of Glendale, California and Michael Thombs of Oxnard, California; and great-grandchildren, Kayla Thombs and Anderson Thombs. She was pre-deceased by four siblings, Julia Farrell, Veronica Egan, Donald Connors and John Connors. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, Mass. at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009, with internment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. John’s Healthcare Foundation, Oxnard and Pleasant Valley, 1600 N. Rose Ave., Oxnard, CA 93030 (Donahue Healing Garden).
