Obituary of Ruth Fraser
Ruth A. (Cann) Fraser, a resident of Burlington for 55 years, passed away at Woodbriar of Wilmington Nuring Center, on Thursday morning, April 16, 2009. The wife of Stanley R. Fraser, she was 83 years old.
Ruth was born in Malden. She was the daughter of the late Woodworth and Mildred Cann. She was raised and educated in Holbrook. She worked for many years at Brew Lord Insurance Company in Boston.
Ruth enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, and needlepoint. She and her husband enjoyed taking trips by train throughout the United States to such places as California. Ruth was a loving and caring woman who devoted her life to her husband, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Ruth is the beloved wife of 55 years of Stanley R. She is the loving mother of Stephen Furbish & his companion Mary of VT, Warren Furbish & his wife Dutchie of MO, and Dottie Palladino & her husband Al of Medford. She is the Sister of the late Russell Cann and Louise Johnston. Ruth is the grandmother of Nanci Palladino of Medford, John Palladino of Michigan, Heath Furbish of MO, Shawn Furbish of NH, Jacqui Falco of Medford, and Jeremy Furbish of Utah. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren. She is the dear friend of Jean Reid of Wilmington. Memorial Services will be held at the Presbyterian Church, 335 Cambridge St, Burlington on Tuesday, April 21 at 1:00 pm. Relative and friends respectfully invited to attend. Memorials in Ruth’s name may be made to Woodbriar of Wilmington Resident Council Fund, 90 West St., Wilmington, MA 01887.
