Obituary of Nancy Livezey

Nancy L. (Bennett) Livezey, a resident of Burlington since 1962, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Tuesday morning, April 28, 2009. The wife of William H. Livezey, Jr. she was 73 years old. Nancy was born and raised in Medford. She worked as a secretary in the medical offices of Dr. Andrew Guthrie Sr. and also his son Dr. Andrew Gurthrie Jr. located in Medford on and off for over 30 years. She also worked as a secretary at Middlesex Community College in Bedford for 11 years. Nancy led a full and active life. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and art. She was a talented artist and could see the inner beauty in things. She had a creative side to her painting and was known for her artwork painted on stones. Nancy’s family, friends, and church where the most important part of her life. She was an active member of the United Church of Christ Congregational where she was a member of the choir and also served as a Deacon. She was a devoted wife, caring mother and mother-in-law, and proud grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. Nancy was the wife of William H. Livezey, Jr. of Burlington. She was the loving mother of Andrew D. Livezey & his wife Ann of Pepperell and the late William H. Livezey, III. She was the mother-in-law of Susan Corr of Weymouth. She was the daughter of Nora Bennett of Medford and the late Archibald Bennett. She was the sister of Pamela Martell & her husband Robert of Haverhill. She was the proud grandmother of William Trevor Livezey, Mason Bennett Livezey, & Olivia Corr. She was also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the United Church of Christ Congregational on Thursday, April 30 at 10 a.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations in Nancy’s name may be made to the United Church of Christ Congregational, 6 Lexington St., Burlington, MA 01803.
