Obituary of Joan Moulton

Joan C. (MacKeigan) Moulton, a resident of Burlington for 54 years, passed away at her home on Monday afternoon, May 11, 2009. The wife of Robert H. Moulton, she was 79 years old. Joan was born in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Douglas & Ruth MacKeigan. She was raised and educated in Watertown. In her younger days Joan worked for Newton Motor Sales. In her later years she worked as an Office Manager for her husband’s Food Brokerage Co. Joan had a passion for animals and supported many animal charities. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and shopping. Joan also loved to travel most especially to the Bahamas. Joan’s family was the most important part of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joan was the beloved wife of 58 years of Robert H. Moulton. She was the loving mother of Robert H. Moulton, Jr. of Peabody and Elizabeth “Beth” Moulton of Gloucester & her partner Deb Whitten. She was the sister of Edward MacKeigan & his wife Beverly of Francistown, NH and Douglas MacKeigan of Ft. Myers, FL. She is the sister-in-law of Nancy Stagg of Cape Cod. She is the grandmother of Kelly Ruscansky, Jessica & Megan Moulton. She is the great Grandmother of Taylor & Madison Ruscansky. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial Services at the Edward V.
