Obituary of Rita Conway

Rita G. (Murray) Conway, a resident of Burlington for 48 years, passed away at the Blair House in Tewksbury on Saturday morning, May 16, 2009. The beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Conway who passed away in 1974, she was 71 years old. Rita was born in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Eben and Grace Murray. She was raised and educated in Billerica. Rita was an athlete growing up and lettered in Field Hockey in High School. She also had her own horse growing up as a child. Rita worked as a LPN for the local Nursing Homes in Woburn. She then went on to work as an Office Manager at Sterling Corp. & Moving Storage in Billerica where she retired from after 23 years of employment. Rita enjoyed going camping with her children when they were growing up. She also loved to travel with Hawaii being her favorite destination. She had a talent for knitting and was known for her afghans which she made for everyone. She also enjoyed cake decorating and cooking. She will be lovingly missed by her children and grandchildren. Rita was the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Conway. She was the loving mother of Joseph M. Conway, Jr., & his wife Mary of Tyngsboro, Pamela A. Borriello & her husband Richard of Hampstead, NH, and James P. Conway & his wife Karen of Burlington. She was the grandmother of Joseph M. III, Katherine E., Crystal L. & Catryna D. Conway, Richard P. Jr., & Dana P. Borriello. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, May 19 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
