Obituary of Ronald Snodgrass
Ronald C. Snodgrass, Sr., “Ronnie” of Burlington, passed away at Mass General Hospital on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. He was 69 years old.
Born to the late Ralph and Margaret Snodgrass on May 22, 1940, Ronnie was educated and raised in Burlington residing in the same house that his father built during his entire life. He became a licensed electrician and wired countless residences and commercial establishments in the town. Ronnie was known for being very compassionate and kind-hearted towards people. He continued helping others wire houses long after his retirement, and he also taught his son and grandson the trade throughout their lives.
Ronnie’s hobbies included watching sports on television, in particular he was a race car fan. He also enjoyed watching game shows, walking to the store, playing the lottery, and going out for a good breakfast where he could visit his many friends from town.
Ronnie was the loving father of Ronald Snodgrass, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Burlington, MA; LeeAnn Bautista and her husband David of Belmont, CA; Kim Carmody and her husband Tom of Oakley, CA; and Marc Snodgrass of Stockton, CA. He was the brother of Paul Snodgrass of Billerica, MA and Ruth Dunnells of Colorado Springs, CO, and he was beloved “Grampy” to Bryan and Tyler Snodgrass, Justin and Ryan Bautista, Nicole and Danielle Carmody, and Dane Snodgrass.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington, MA (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sunday, June 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ronnie’s name may be made to People Helping People, P.O. Box 343, Burlington, MA 01803.
