Obituary of Mary Crossley

Mary F. Crossley passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. The wife of 59 years of Edward A. Crossley, she was 79 years old. Mary was born in Boston, the daughter of Irish immigrants, the late John and Anne Costello. She was raised and educated in South Boston. Mary married her husband Edward on Christmas Day in 1949. They moved to Revere in 1955 where they resided until 2004 when they moved to Burlington to be closer to her family. Mary was an Astrologer. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of books. She was inquisitive and loved to explore the world around her. She loved to shop. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and cherished the time spent with her family. Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward A. Crossley, of Burlington. She is the loving mother of Edward A. Crossley, Jr. of Fairburn, GA, Linda Unsworth & her husband James of Burlington, and Kevin Crossley & his wife Loretta of Westford. She is the sister of Ann Boyd of Braintree and Sally Costello of Hingham. She was the proud grandmother of Garrett Gradozzi, Neil Gradozzi, Abby, Jack & Emily Crossley. Funeral arrangements were private.
