Josephine M. Sacco, a loving sister, aunt, and friend passed away at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford on Friday night, September 11, 2009. She was 89 years old. Josephine was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Carmella Sacco. She grew up and was educated in the North End of Boston. She enjoyed growing up in a community full of Italian traditions and heritage. She had spent the last 36 years living in Revere. Josephine was retired from Polaroid where she worked as an technician at their Cambridge campus. She had also worked at F S Webster’s Company in Cambridge. Josephine enjoyed going to the beach, playing Bingo, and playing cards. Her life revolved around her family and close friends. She enjoyed keeping in touch with all her family and friends and was always just a phone call away. Everyone always looked forward to a visit from Josephine. She relished family events, celebrations, and the holidays. She will be lovingly remembered. Josephine was the sister of Edward Sacco & his wife Elizabeth of Burlington, and the late Blanche Scavongelli, Mary Jane Piazza, Joseph Sacco, Dorothy Gordon and Richard Sacco. She was the sister-in-law of Ernie Scavongelli of Washington, D. C. and Frank Piazza of NH. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews & friends. Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Josephine’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
