Obituary of James Frazier
James Anthony Frazier, a resident of Burlington for 52 years, passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on Wednesday morning, September 16, 2009. He was 82 years old.
James was born in Cambridge, the son of the late William and Josephine Frazier. He grew up and was educated in East Cambridge. He enlisted in the Navy 3 days before his 18th birthday. He served in the Navy as a Seaman during WW II and was the recipient of the WWII Victory Medal. James worked as a truck driver for Mobil Oil for well over 20 years. He had a terrific work ethic and was an excellent provider for his wife and children. He loved being a grandfather. He frequented his grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities. James was a handyman and enjoyed working around his home and in his yard. James and his wife Rita would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 9th.
James was the beloved husband of Rita (Carideo). He was the loving father of James A. Frazier, Jr. of Plantation, FL, Doreen Myers & her husband Randy of Eden Prairie, MN, and Janice Iaquinto of Wilmington. He was the brother of William “Sonny” Frazier of Cambridge, Robert Frazier of Naples, FL, the late Theresa Cashman and Dorothy “Dottie” Morton. He was the proud grandfather of James Joseph Frazier of Plantation, FL, Katelyn Marie Myers & Derek Myers of Eden Prairie, MN, and Jannelle & Christina Iaquinto of Wilmington.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
