Obituary of Ronald Doig
Ronald W. Doig passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, June 10,2006. The husband of Carol (Gayhart) he was 65 years old.
Ronald was born in Boston. He was the son of the late William and Alice Doig. He was served in the Marine Corps for 8 years. He was also a member of the Marine Reserves. Ronald was a member of Local 6 in Boston. He worked as an Insulator installing heating and a/c units for his entire career. He lived in Burlington for 30 years prior to moving to Florida in 1990. He loved living in Florida. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and boating. While living in Florida he became a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also the Founder and President of a local Fishing Club in Florida. Ronald’s family was very important to him. He looked forward to the many trips his children and their families would make to visit him and his wife Carol in Florida. He was a very proud grandfather.
Ronald is the Beloved husband of Carol (Gayhart). He is the loving father of Debra & her husband James Hustins of Tynsboro and Steven & his wife Melisa of Ashby. He is the brother of the late David Doig. He is the loving grandfather of Katie and Joey Hustins, Robert and William Doig. A Memorial Wake will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, June 17 from 3 – 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
