Obituary of Loretta Enos

Loretta L. (Sweeney) Enos, a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Monday morning, December 14, 2009. She was 75 years old. Loretta was born in Woburn. She was raised in Burlington and lived in the Winnmere section of Burlington her entire life. She attended St. Charles Catholic School in Woburn. Loretta worked as a Lunch Lady in the Burlington School System, Jordan Marsh at the Burlington Mall, and Zippy Starch in Woburn. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her famous breads which everyone loved. Loretta’s home was a gathering place for family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be lovingly remembered. Loretta was the beloved wife of the late Lester F. She was the loving mother of Jane Dellano of Methuen, Barbara Enos of Burlington, Ann Enos of TN, and Lester F. Enos, Jr. & his wife Leanne of Nashua. She was the sister of Margaret Bowles of Billerica & her late husband Herbert, Howard Sweeney of Chelsea, Gerard Sweeney & his wife Ruthie of Woburn, and the late Leo, James, Francis, & Eveleen Sweeney. Sister-in-law of Louise Sweeney of Lowell and the late Marie Sweeney and Herbert Bowles. Longtime companion of Marcus “Fritz” Donnay of Tewksbury. Loretta is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, BURLINGTON.
