Janet L. (McCue) Dalessio, a former resident of Burlington, passed way in Boca Raton, FL with her children by her side on Saturday, December 12, 2009. The beloved wife of Robert Dalessio, she was 68 years old. Janet was born and raised in Woburn. She and her husband settled in Burlington where they raised their 3 children and became an active part of the town. Janet was very involved in politics and was a member of the Democratic Committee. She was a devoted Hockey and Baseball mom and never missed one of her children’s games. She was also a Boy Scout Troop Leader and a Cheerleading Coach. She was a devoted grandmother and loved to spend time with her 7 grandchildren. Janet loved the warm weather and once her husband retired they moved to Boca Raton, FL where they had resided for the past 10 years. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be missed by all the lives she touched. Janet was the beloved wife of Robert Dalessio. She was the loving mother of Robert & his wife Sherri of Chelmsford, Jana Vaughan & her husband Thomas of Chelmsford, and Anthony Dalessio & his wife Kristine of Burlington. Sister of James McCue of Woburn, Robert McCue of Concord, Shirley Forester of Hudson, NH, David McCue of Kingston, RI and the late Barbara McCall, Marjorie McCue, and Daniel McCue. Grandmother of Anastasia, Rocco, Sophia, Anthony & Paul Dalessio and Jahna & Sara Vaughan. A Memorial Wake will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, March 24 from 6 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. Memorials in Janet’s name may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, 1 Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114. Arrangements under the direction of the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, BURLINGTON.
