Obituary of Ronald Toye
Ronald J. Toye, Sr. a resident of Burlington for 49 years, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Friday, January 1, 2010. The husband of Dorothy (Norris) for 64 years, he had just celebrated his 83 birthday on December 29.
Ron was born in Malden. He was the son of the late Robert and Phoebe Toye. He was raised and educated in Everett. He worked as a Truck Driver for C & J Trucking for 43 years. Ron enjoyed the outdoors. He liked to fish and hunt. He was also an avid sports fan. He was a proud grandfather and attended all of his grandchildren's events. He never missed one of their baseball or football games. Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather that will be deeply missed.
Ron was the beloved husband of 64 years of Dorothy (Norris). He was the loving father of Ronald J. Toye, Jr. & his wife Lorraine of Lake Worth, Tx, Dorothy Young of Lowell and her late husband Walter, Barbara Lafferty & her husband John of Woburn, Karen Toye & her husband Stephen Ruby of Woburn, James Toye of Burlington & his companion Missy Ebalo. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Followed by Funeral Services at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
