Family Remembrance On April 11, Kristin would have been 40. I am grateful and will never forget the 40 years I had with Kristin. Kristin's illness over the past years has made her look weak and frail. Bur Kristin was just the opposite. She was a fighter and fought until the very end. Over the years Kristin's family and friends all helped her battle against her illness. Our family has always been very close. Kristin spent many great times with all of our cousins, especially Holly, Cheryl and with many of her close friends at Heritage Way (the neighborhood we grew up in). Kristin's best friend, especially, is my sister, Lisa. The bond between them was so great. She cherised their relationship with all her heart. Kristin looked up to my Mother and Lisa for great support and guidance. She knew how much they both loved and cared about her. Kristin would not have survived as long as she did if they were not both by her side along the way. Kristin was a loving mother and spent most of her time taking care of her son, Keith. Even at the end she would not leave this world until she heard Keith's voice and finally could be at peace knowing her son would be safe. Keith, you're a good son and I know your mother loved you with all her heart. Lisa, John, Nana, Stephanie, and I will always be there for you and we love you very much. Another important person in Kristin's life was my Dad. When she had Keith it brought her and my Dad even closer together. She brought the first grandchild into the family and my Mom, Dad, and Kristin spent lots of time together with Keith growing up. I know that gave Kristin a lot of happiness. Losing Kristin is very hard but I have some peace knowing that she is with our Dad now. I know in my heart Kristin has gone to a better place. A place where she won't feel any more pain. A place where she won't be scared. A place where she won't be alone. I know when Kristin entered this place she was met by a man who held out his hand and spoke in a familiar voice, "e;Kristin, I have been waiting for you."e; She looked up at the man and smiled and ran into his arms. The man carried her away and she looked back at all of us and said, "e;Don't worry, Dad and I will be looking down and smiling at you."e;
