Obituary of Genevieve Yopchick
Genevieve R. (Kuzemchak) a resident of Burlington since 1966, passed away at the Golden Living Center in Lexington on January 26, 2010. Jennie was born in Indiana, PA and raised and educated in Heilwood, PA. She was the daughter of Polish immigrants, late John and Catherine Kuzemchak. Jennie attended secretarial school but her primary role in life was that of wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her polish dishes as well as her chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed going to bingo and playing pinochle with her sons and their families. Jennie’s family and faith were the most important part of her life. She made frequent visits back to Pennsylvania to visit her family and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be lovingly missed.
Jennie was the beloved wife of the late Edward F. She was the loving mother of Edward F. Yopchick, Jr. of Bradford and Stephen Yopchick & his wife Caryn of Bradford. Sister of Ceila Rusnak of NJ, Frank and John Kuzemchak of PA, Jim Kuzemchak of CT, Maryanne Klein of MD, and the late Stanley Dombrowski. Grandmother of Keara Reilly of GA, Sean Yopchick of CA, Alicia Yopchick of Bradford, Jennelle Yopchick of Jamaica Plain and Zachary Yopchick of Boston.
A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, February 1 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 11 a.m. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 3:00 p.m.
