Obituary of Lorraine Myles

Lorraine F. (Ward) Myles, a resident of Woburn for 54 years, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Friday evening, January 29, 2010. The wife of the late Francis G. Myles, she was 80 years old. Lorraine was born in Somerville. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Catherine Ward. Lorraine was raised in Medford and Arlington. She was a graduate of St. Clements High School in Somerville. Lorraine and her husband settled in Woburn in 1956 where they raised their two daughters. She worked for over 25 years as a Bookkeeper in the Cash Office at Filenes at the Burlington Mall. Lorraine enjoyed bowling and belonged to a number of leagues with her husband and friends over the years. She loved music, dancing, and singing. She was talented enough to be able to write her High School Class song. She enjoyed traveling with her family and visited such places as Ireland, Bermuda with Disney World being her favorite destination. Lorraine had a fun and outgoing personality and it was a delight to be in her company. Her family was the center of her life and she loved spoiling her grandchildren. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Francis G. Myles, who passed away in 2003. She was the loving and supportive mother of Kelly McDonald & her husband Roy of Wilmington and Kimberly Myles of North Reading. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Lyons. She was the devoted grandmother of Stephen, Kristine & Kaitlyn and great grammy to Cameron. She was the aunt of Claire Caso, Kenneth Lyons, and Lorraine Rielly. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 100 Washington St., Woburn at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
