I'm deeply saddened to see that Al has passed away and want to extend my belated deepest sympathy to Audrey and to Al's parents, brothers and sisters and many friends. My family and I and many others we introduced to Al during his Tweeter days will share the grief we all now bear knowing now that Al died at such a young age. He was a wonderful person and will be very missed by all of us. May he rest in peace. Ted

Soap on my toothbrush,
Unraveled skeins of yarn,
An oversized doll and two hooligans,
Running the bases, endless summer games
Broken arms and split lips,
Twisted lyrics to “girlie” romantic songs,
Broken windows, water fights, scared boyfriends,
The Stones and Aerosmith’s “Dream On”
Ready Golfing Buddy,
Usher at our weddings,
Godfather to our children,
Cherished Uncle
The memories flood my mind,
His love fills my heart,
Forever my Brother Al

They say opposites attract and at first glance that would be what you would think about Al and I. Al always the quiet and reserved one (remeber I asked him out). I was the chatty and exuberent one. But if you looked closer you would see how much we had in common. Friends and family always come first to both of us. He was always my rock, my calming place, and my reality check. Our 20 years together were filled with love, freindship, fun, life's tough moments, friends and family. To his father, Brothers and Sisters and in laws you were extremely important to him. To all of his nieces and nephews he was very proud of all of you and know that you always made him happy. I will love an miss you always.

To the Russo Family (this includes Audrey) - We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Al. We can only imagine your shock and sorrow at this time. Since Al was a much older cousin than I we interacted minimally, but I do remember him sitting at my parents cottage cracking jokes with Billy and Chris. The quiet, funny guy is how I remember him. He has gone to the angels with your mother. May his soul rest in peace and may your hearts be filled with fond memories that sustain you. We love you all very much! xoxo Joyce and Seth Jacobson

Al was a valued friend and associate, and absolutely the kindest and most gentle man I have ever known. Always there with a helping hand when the work needed to be done, never shirking any task, and usually coming up with the most efficient way to handle it. A true Retail professional, it is hard to imagine working a busy day without him at my side.Though a very private person, whenever the conversation would turn towards his beloved Audrey,I will always remember the gleem in his eyes, which told of a Love, no words could ever describe. The world, especially mine, will not be the same with him gone...I am a better person for having been allowed to know him....My deepest and sincere sympathy to Audrey and his family..

Dear Audrey,
I was so very sorry to hear of Al's sudden passing. I did not have the privilege of knowing him, but I can tell by the many guestbook entries that he was a fine man and much loved.
Please know that you have many new friends at Q1 Labs. We are thinking of you and we hope that our friendship will help you through the difficult days and weeks ahead.
My sincere condolences to you and to Al's family.

My brother Al was a quiet man who said little, but missed nothing. He loved to play golf, and a solid practical joke, and was accomplished at both. His handsome face and seemingly innocent smile often helped him dodge the repercussions of his mischief. Growing up, I wanted to be wherever he was, and he taught me to love The Three Stooges, Led Zeppelin and the Celtics' "dream team." He thoroughly enjoyed Boston Cream Pie, and chocolate chip ice cream, and when he worked as a teenager at an ice cream shop, his little sisters always got an extra large scoop. In more recent days, Al provided the entertainment for his nieces and nephews at any family gathering, systematically whipping them into a frenzy, then, with a sly smile, sneaking away as if he had no involvement in the ensuing chaos. What I will remember most about Al, though, is that when I became ill many years ago, his was the first face I saw when I was wheeled into the emergency room, and when our mom passed away, and I was too weak to walk out of her funeral on my own, Al and our brother John carried me, supporting me, one under each arm. That best describes Al as I knew him: always there when I needed him. His family and friends have sustained a tremendous loss, and I extend my most heartfelt condolences to Audrey, who has remained lovingly by Al's side for over twenty years, to our immediate and extended families, and to his many long-time friends, who I know love him dearly and will miss him deeply.

Our hearts are so heavy. We will truly miss the great golf-buddy, the go-to guy when you were thinking about a new electronic set up, & the cousin who was always in the naughty chair, when we were growing up.
We'll miss watching the uncle, lovingly teasing his nieces & nephews, and the brother & son always there for his family, whatever they needed.
As was Al's neverending devotion to you Audrey, and you the "Russo's", (my "Northshore family")
we too, are here for you. Whatever you need, whenever you need it.
With much love, and the hope for immeasurable strength,
Andy, Ralph, Alex, and Rachel
