Obituary of Rebecca Hill
Rebecca (Bennett) Hill, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away at the Winchester Hospital after a brief illness. The wife of the late William L. Hill, she had just celebrated her 85th birthday.
Rebecca was born in Belfast Northern Ireland. She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Elizabeth Bennett. She was raised and educated in England. Rebecca met her husband William while he was in the Royal Air Force in England. They married in 1945 and moved to America. They lived in Watertown briefly before moving to Burlington in 1950. Rebecca worked in Retail sales for many years. She worked at Almy’s Department Store in Burlington until it closed its doors. The then went on to work at Lord & Taylor at the Burlington Mall for 20 years until her retirement. Rebecca enjoyed her home and gardening. Her daughters and grandchildren where the most important part of her life. She was blessed to be able to see her first Great Grandchild, Ella, born on October 5th. Rebecca will be lovingly missed.
Rebecca is the beloved wife of the late William L. Hill Loving mother of Liz Collins of Woburn and Trish Hill of Burlington. Devoted grandmother of Kara Zaniboni & her husband Jamie of Derry, NH, Aimee Leigh Collins of Woburn, and Darryl Collins of Woburn. Great grandmother of Ella Zaniboni. Also survived by family in Northern Ireland and England. Funeral Arrangements were private.
