I only recently met Betty, but she's left an indelible impression on me. I'll miss her wit, her charm and her down-to-earth grace and can only hope to be half the woman she was. Sleep well, Betty Burpee...

I only met Betty a few times, but that's all it took for her to make a lasting impression. The first time was at the wedding of her son Bill to my sister Melissa, where she was an absolute delight! Betty was smart and funny and loving, and I will always remember her.

Aunt Betty was an elegant lady with a zest for life and a twinkle in her eyes. I loved listening to her sing and enjoyed her many stories. She was devoted to her family and loved by all who knew her. I will always cherish the wonderful memories I have of her. She had a very special bond with her brother Joseph (my father). She would call him Josephus, a good-natured nickname she had for him. I always wondered what the story was behind the nickname. I will miss her very much.
