Obituary of Lorraine Outerbridge
Lorraine (Jones) Outerbridge, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side after a short battle with cancer. She was 69 years old. Lorraine was born in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Ruth Jones. Lorraine lived in Cambridge until she was 12 years old and then her family moved to Burlington. She was a graduate of the 1958 class of Burlington High School.
Lorraine loved animals. She had many cats and dogs during her life that she cared for including most recently her two golden retrievers Cassie and Misty whom she adored. She loved antiques and could be seen about town at local shops and yard sales. She enjoyed spending time with her family, most especially her grandchildren. Lorraine loved people and would often be seen talking and laughing with those she knew or had just met. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be lovingly missed.
Lorraine was the beloved wife of Retired Patrolman of the Billerica Police Dept. George H. Outerbridge and the late Ronald Lynch. She was the loving mother of Cheryl Janes & her husband Allen of Burlington, David Outerbridge & his wife Melissa of Burlington, and the late Ronald F. Lynch, Jr. She was the sister of Donald Jones of Tewksbury and the late Charles Jones. She was grandmother of Alysse & Alex Janes, Halle Outerbridge, Brenna Tedesco, and Ronald F. Lynch, III. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, Feb. 15 at 9 a.m. Followed by Funeral Services at the United Church of Christ Congregational, 6 Lexington St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday February 14 from 3-6 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
