Louise Mary D’Eugenio, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at her home after a long illness on Thursday morning, March 4, 2010. She was 94 years old. Louise was born and raised in Newton. She was the daughter of Italian immigrants, the late Antonio and Anna Della Rocco. She grew up in a home filled with Italian heritage and customs. She learned to cook from her mother and she shared her love for cooking and baking with her children and grandchildren. Her home was filled with the sweet aromas permeating from her kitchen. Sunday dinners at the D’Eugenio home were an important tradition. Her family and their friends were the fortunate recipients of her great Italian cooking and hours of great conversation around her dinner table. She embraced her role of homemaker, wife and mother. Her family, friends, and her home is all she needed to be happy. She will be lovingly remembered. Louise was the beloved wife of the late Tersino M. D’Eugenio. She was the loving mother of Carole A. D’Eugenio of Burlington, Richard D. D'Eugenio of NY, Betty J. D’Eugenio of Seattle, WA, Philip J. Eugene & his wife Maribeth of Lancaster, Ann Marie Pirani of Burlington, and the late Terrance P. D’Eugenio. She was the beloved mother-in-law of Susan D’Eugenio of W. Roxbury. She was predeceased by her siblings; Paul Della Rocca, Augustine, Frank, and Raffaelina Della Rocco. She was the proud grandmother of Gregory D’Eugenio of W. Roxbury and Allison D’Eugenio of NY. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday March 8 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 11 a.m. Interment in Newton Cemetery, Newton.
