Obituary of David Low
David E. Low, a design engineer, passed away suddenly on Sunday night, April 11, 2010. He was 73 years old.
David was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of the late Duncan and Isabel Low. He grew up in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. . He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era as a Specialist 4th Class. David worked most of his career as a design engineer. He had spent the last 18 years with Morgan Siemens Company, an industrial piping manufacturer in Worcester. He enjoyed his work and coworkers, but was looking forward to retiring in the very near future. David was passionate when it came to his hobbies and interests. He was a long time member of the Four on the Floor and the Little Rock Back for which he designed the logo for and where he played the bass guitar. He was a Life Member of the Quannapowitt Players in Reading. He worked on the sound, lighting, and set design for the players. The best part about the Players was that he met his future wife Roberta, in 1986. Besides music, sports, and the arts, David was fascinated with avionics and considered himself an "e;Arm Chair Pilot."e; He enjoyed traveling and gardening. And he loved being in the kitchen; his friends described him as a gourmet chef. He was a devoted family man. His death was unexpected, but his memory will bring a smile to all who knew him
David was the beloved husband of Roberta (DuCharme-Chaffee) who is the devoted mother of Robin Bulla of TN, Brad & Jason Chaffee of Billerica. He was the loving father of Pamela Rindfleisch & her husband Kirk and proud grandfather of Eric from Ashburn, VA. He was the brother of Linda Messer of NH and the late Jeff Low of NH. Also survived by his loving family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at the United Church of Christ Congregational Church, 6 Lexington St., Burlington on Friday, April 16, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday , April 15, from 4-8 p.m. Cremation will follow the Funeral Services.
