Obituary of Shirley Cerullo

Shirley E. (Bushey) Cerullo, a resident of Burlington for 46 years, passed away at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on Tuesday morning, April 20, 2010, she was 79 years old. Shirley was born and raised in Plattsburgh, New York. She was one of 15 children born to the late Chester and Catherine Bushey. Shirley devoted her life to raising her family. When her sons were younger she was a Cub Scout Leader. She was a member of the Burlington Senior Citizens and was a volunteer in the kitchen. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Shirley was a woman of devote faith and attended Mass daily at St. Margaret’s in Burlington. Shirley will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Shirley was the beloved wife of 53 years to Anthony J. Cerullo. She was the loving mother of Carl Fletcher of Plymouth, David Fletcher of Anchorage, AK, Robert Fletcher of NY, Catherine Calley of Plattsburgh, NY, Anthony Cerullo of Burlington, Susan Rodman of Burlington, and Charles Cerullo of Tewksbury. Also survived by 16 grandchildren. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, April 23 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
