Obituary of Gail Candelora

Gail Ann (Lannon) Candelora, a woman devoted to her family and friends passed away with her family at her bedside at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Friday morning, May 14, 2010. She was 56 years old. Gail was born in Woburn and grew up in Burlington. She was a graduate of Burlington High School. She had made her home in Billerica for the past 34 years. Gail’s life was filled with medical challenges, which she embraced with courage and a positive outlook. She loved life and her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband Dennis for 37 years. They worked together to overcome each hurdle they came across. She was a devoted mom, who had a great involvement in her children’s lives. She supported them in their activities, sports, and their life decisions. She loved being a doting grandmother of 5. She loved spending time with her 5 grandkids and like most grandmothers, occasionally spoiling them. Summer vacations in Maine were always a highlight. Gail also knew how to have fun and was a great hostess. She loved having friends and family over for cook outs, holidays, special events or any other occasion. She made everyone feel welcomed. She was also a little bit of a Walt Disney World fanatic. Gail was the beloved wife of Dennis Candelora. She was the loving mother of Dennis Candelora & his wife Lani of Bennington, VT and Brandi Perigny & her husband Dan of Merrimack, NH. She was the daughter of Mary (Shaul) Lannon of Billerica and the late Walter Lannon. She was the sister of Donna Boss of Billerica and Susan Wilson of Plymouth. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Allie & Emily Perigny and Maria, Angelo, and Antony Candelora. She was also survived by many family and friends. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, May 17 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
