Obituary of Roberta Burns

Roberta F. (Connors) Burns, a resident of Burlington for 44 years, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Friday morning, May 13, 2010. The wife of 64 years to Milton Burns, she was 86 years old. Roberta was born, raised and educated in Granville, NY. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Ethel Connors. She was a graduate of Mildred Elly Business School in Albany, New York. She went on to have a successful 34 year career in the Financial Aid Department at MIT. Roberta enjoyed flower gardening in her yard. Roberta and her husband enjoyed traveling together whether it be a local trip or to such places as Hawaii, San Francisco, the Caribbean or Florida. Roberta was the beloved wife of Milton E. Burns. She was the loving sister of Mary Larkin of Loudonville, NY and the late John Connors. Loving aunt of John Larkin, Mary E. Stevens & Mark Connors. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sunday, May 16 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. Followed by Funeral Services at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
