Ray, Karen, Brad, Scott and Patti
How do we let time go by and then open the Sunday paper to see that an old friend is gone? We get too busy in our lives not to know that no news does not always mean good news. Rachel was truly a lady, a "southern belle". She told us she had never been to a "northern" fair so Barbara Toland and I took her to the Topsfield Fair one fall. Maybe it was my driving, but she couldn't wait to get in the house as she was getting carsick in the back of the Cougar! I loved her stories of growing up in Mississippi and the stories about her love for her dear Mom. I also heard about that blind date with Ray that started it all. She was as proud of Karen as she was of Brad as she was of Scott as she was of Patti. It bothers me greatly that she is gone. I have thought of her so often this weekend...about the badmitton game in the back yard on Lexington Street...about the way she accepted me into a long established group. She will be in my thoughts for a long time. I have not been in the funeral home since my son passed away 5 years ago but I'll be there in spirit.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your mom. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Our hearts are with you at this most difficult time. Rachel introduced herself to me, Theresa, many years ago while she was getting me ready for an EKG. In introducing herself she said "I'm Brads mother". Our daughter, Terese, was in the group of friends with Brad - who was a special person for us then, just as he is now. Rachel made me feel I was a long, lost friend....my nerves quieted down as we chatted away. She made an uncomfortable time turn into a "social tea party", soothing my nerves. She touched my heart; I will never forget her kindness.
God Bless all of you

Dear Ray & extended Perry family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you. I will always remember Rachel as such a fun loving and sweet woman who adored and cherished her family. I wish there was something I could say or do to make it easier... Her thoughtfulness and kindness lives on in all who she has loved. I know because I am blessed to have her daughter, Karen, as my friend. Please know that Rachel has not left this world in vain. She has a special place in heaven and in those who were lucky enough to know her. xo

We are so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a caring, giving, happy woman. She shared her home with the fun pool and big back yard. She was always at every event smiling no matter what. She was a very strong woman who saw the greater side of everything! Amazing :o) I was blessed to have known her and I know she will be missed. Knowing that she is finally at peace helps somewhat, but the memories are what keep you going, and we know that you have lots of those :o) We love you and are prays are with you and your family.
