My dear friend, aka Uncle Ralph, I've known you for 41 years. I will truly miss those talks about current events, sports (especially about the Red Sox), and life in general... I remember being your little neighbor in Burlington, I hurt my knee as a little boy and you picked me up and held me all the way to the emergency room. And calmed my mom down because she was having a nervous breakdown from the entire incident. Or when I ran down the hill from my house to your backyard and slapped you right on your butt and asked if "Rosa had any cookies". Of course my mom yelled at me for slapping you on the butt and to apologize immediately, you would just tell her "it's ok Lorraine". We shared memories every year for over 30 years when you and Rosa would drive down every March to Orlando. My Mom (God rest her soul) enjoyed those visits and the stories about the "the good ole days"... Or the time you were teaching me how to shave. I will also miss hearing you call me "Joe the Tiger", for as long as I can rememeber you would call me by that title. I was lucky to have spent some time with you these past few years and a visit to Fenway Park in 2006 to finally watch a Red Sox game together. My visit with you in 2008 was also a memorable time when we drove to Gloucester for fried clams. Ralphie, words can't totally express what you've meant to me but you were truly a special person to me and my mom. Although my last visit in June of this year was ever so brief, you were able to meet my daughter. God I am so greatful for that!!! Please forgive me for not being able to attend your sevice as I know you are aware of my situation. If anything you have been my counselor or therapist these past few years to say the least. Always an ear to listen to all my trials and tribulations. I will miss you so much and will never forget you for as long as I live! My Paisan, I Love you!!

I will miss Ralph's perpetual cheerfullness and his phone call each Christmas. He always called when my Christmas card arrived to catch up on the year. Ralph and Rosa were like a second set of parents for the three Harvey children on Herman St. and they opened up their home...especially their kitchen to us! One day when I was in the Burlington Mall, I heard Ralph's unmistakable voice and it was such a comforting sound! Ralph, I will miss you very much and am glad you are with your Rosa.

Ralph;
I only had the pleasure of knowing you for a short time. You were the first person to befriend my dad when he moved to WP. I was always happy to see you and visit in the dining room with both you and my dad. Your cheery attitude and welcoming way made all feel at home instantly. I loved hearing your stories, playing pool, and bringing you an occassional home baked treat. I will miss you, as I know many of the residents at WP will. Rest in Peace Ralph, and if you can, continue to spread your sunshine from heaven on all of us.
With love and affection,
Dale Fuller Deane

This world is going to be a much lonelier place without the spunky Ralph Romano. We will miss you at the family gatherings. You were a light in the life of our family and we will forever remember you. Now instead of you telling us stories at Thanksgiving or Christmas, we will be telling stories about our memories of you. May you rest in peace. We love you and will miss you terribly!

We didn't know you for very long, just since you joined us at Windsor Place. You brightened up the entire place with your grin, caring outreach and friendly manner. Easy to like and full of fun, that was you, Ralph. You are already missed and we are better people having known you.

I will truly miss you Ralph. We have known eachother about 25 years. You were a wonderful man and you were a wonderful husband to Rosa. I will miss our coffee dates the most. I am sorry to your family and my sympathies go out to them. I know now you are with Rosa and that is all you have ever wanted. I love you.
